Aural Plaques
Symptoms
Crusty plaques on inside of ear, pink skin shown when removed.
Cause
Infection by a virus and irritated by fly bites. Similar virus to that which causes warts.
Treatment
The is no current cure although lesions can be lessened by treating the affected area with anti-inflammatory ointment once plaques have been removed. Ear protectors can prevent fly bites.
