Symptoms

Swelling behind the front teeth, may be so enlarged as to protrude below the edge of the teeth

Cause

Usually found in young horses during the period when the temporary teeth are changing to permanent teeth, is also associated with poor condition

Treatment

None necessary, once the teeth have changed or the condition improves the swelling will recede
